London in the context of every day life culture (on the material of novels by S. Faulks «A week in december» and Ruth Rendell «Portobello»)
В статье даѐтся краткий обзор созидательной и разрушительной культур повседневности разных слоев общества, социо-культурные жизненные миры которых не совпадают, но могут пересекаться. Повседневность в произведениях рассматривается не как ежедневная рутина, а как фундирующая основа, из которой произрастают все чувства, переживания, мечты, страдания человека, противоречия внутреннего и внешнего. Конфликт в произведениях заключается в коллизии разных повседневностей. В статье говорится, что повседневность – это сфера человеческого опыта с особой формой восприятия и осмысления мира, возникающей на основе трудовой деятельности, обладающая рядом характеристик, среди которых уверенность в объективности и самоочевидности мира и социальных взаимодействий. С.Фокс и Р.Рендел показывают фотографию современной Англии и Лондона, где новые лица с различным цветом кожи и разрезом глаз творят еѐ повседневность, где царствуют национальные традиции. Лондон служит не только как фон для описываемых событий, но и выступает как полноправный участник. Сегодня это уже совсем другой Лондон, где процветают традиции выходцев из разных стран. Лон-дон превращается в огромный «муравейник», куда приезжают сотни тысяч людей из стран Европы, Азии и Африки. Повседневная культура Лондона в данных произведениях – это часть повседневной реальности, совокупность всех нерефлексивных аспектов социальной жизни.
The paper gives a brief overview of constructive and destructive cultures of every day life of different layers of the society, the cultural and social life-worlds of which do not coincide but can intersect. Culture of every day life in the novels is not considered as a daily routine but substantiates the foundation which gives way to all feelings, experiences, dreams, sufferings of a person, contradictions of the internal and external. The conflict in the novel is in the collision of different everydays. The paper says that culture of daily life – is the sphere of human experience with a special form of perception and understanding of the world which arises from labour activity. It has a number of characteristics among which is confidence in the objectivity and self-evidence of the world and social interactions. S.Faulks and R.Rendell show the picture of contemporary England and London where new individuals with different colours of skin and features create its daily life, where national traditions reign. London serves not only as the background for the described events but also as a competent participant. Nowadays London is quite different, it is the place where national traditions and cultures of people from different countries flourish. London is turning into a huge “anthill”, where thousands of people from Europe, Asia and Africa come. London‟s everyday culture in the novels is a part of everyday reality, a complex of all non-reflexive aspects of social life.
